About Me
My name is Emma and I am a native English speaker from the U.S. with a TEFL certificate. I have a Bachelor and Master’s Degree and I am also fluent in English, Chinese, and German. I have studied abroad many times, with stays at Tsinghua University, Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Peking University. I also did my Master's Degree in Germany.
Because I have spent a long time learning Chinese and German, I understand how important it is to work with native speakers to practice the language and reach fluency. I am excited to help you improve your English!
My Vision
When learning foreign languages, plenty of practice with native speakers as well as exposure to materials that native speakers use is key. These can be TV shows, books, YouTube videos, newspaper articles, blog posts, TED talks or more!
For our classes, I will prepare materials based on your interests for us to learn from and discuss. You will have the opportunity to ask any questions you like, including questions about examples, usage, grammar, etc.
If you’re interested in trying out a class with me, please don’t hesitate to book a trial lesson. During the trial, we will get to know each other and you can tell me about your language goals. I will use these to create a unique lesson plan just for you.
